Dr Anouk Lang (University of Edinburgh) is using A Medical History of British India to teach digital humanities and postcolonial studies in 2020.
Using Data Foundry datasets to teach students taking literary studies
Postgraduate and undergraduate students taking Postcolonial Writing and Digital Humanities for Literary Studies at the University of Edinburgh are using the Medical History of British India dataset to explore digital tools and techniques for text analysis, as well as to provide an overview of the challenges of working with historical texts and cultural heritage data.
Students are building a digital project to present their results and demonstrate how computational text analysis is useful for exploring large collections of digitised texts.
